I completely regret what I ate at our workplace's Christmas party - greasy food sans delectable taste. I broke my vow of not wasting energy into such foods; how shall this be amended? Simple: DON'T DO IT AGAIN KIM!!
If I know it's probably going to taste bad, don't eat it. If I know there is absolutely no nutitional value, don't even consider it. My one chance to enjoy whatever I wanted for a meal was obliterated by bland, greasy food. Once a week, I dedicate Friday nights to whatever I want to eat.
Anyways, moving on.
This season has had its fill with desserts:
Banana bread
Pumpkin chocolate chip bread
Pumpkin chocolate brownies
Chocolate chip cookies
Fortunately, these baked goods have been devoured by my coworkers and barely to myself. A good thing of course.
Vittle excite of the week:
Venison with stout beer sauce
I marinated two steaks in this improvised concoction:
3/4 cup stout beer
2 TBLS Honey BBQ sauce
1 TBLS Soy Sauce
A few dashes Worcester sauce
Pepper
Garlic
After preparing and cooking the steaks, I reserved the marinade and cooked it over the stove; added salt and a little butter to it, and voila! Turned out to be just the right consistency, savory with a touch of sweetness. Poured over the steak with a side of baked potatoes...YUM.
