I'm excited about my parents and daughter returning for the Christmas holiday (my daughter spend about a month with them). Cooking for the holidays is one of the most enjoyable part of the season. On the menu for Christmas breakfast:
Monkey Bread
Venison Sausage
Eggs
Potato Hash
For Christmas dinner:
Franks Hot sauce injected Turkey
Stuffing
Candied Sweet potatoes
Mashed potatoes
Green Bean casserole
Spinach Cranberry Salad with candied pecans
Apple Pie Ala Mode
Deviled Eggs
Pico De Gallo and Chips
Curry Pumpkin soup
Sharing good food with my family will be memorable. Hopefully nothing goes awry such as cooking a dish with at the wrong temperature or missing an ingredient. My biggest kitchen pet-peeve is being in the midst of cooking a dish and realizing I'm missing an ingredient that cannot be substituted.
